Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 4 October 2026
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to your use of yhyengineering.com and set out the general basis on which YHY Engineering (“we”, “us” or “our”) provides interior design, fit-out, renovation and construction services. By using this website or asking us for a quotation, you agree to these Terms. Where you accept a written quotation or sign an agreement with us (a “Project Agreement”), that document takes priority over these Terms wherever the two differ.
At a glance
- This website gives general information. Each project is defined by its own written quotation or agreement.
- Quotations are based on the drawings, site conditions and material prices known at the time.
- Changes to the agreed scope are priced and confirmed in writing before the work is done.
- Our designs and drawings are prepared for your project only and remain our property.

1. Using this website
You may use this website to learn about our work and to contact us. You agree not to:
- use the site for anything unlawful, misleading or harmful;
- attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its server or any connected system;
- introduce viruses or other malicious code;
- copy, scrape or republish our text, photographs, drawings or designs without our written permission.
We may update, suspend or withdraw any part of the website at any time without notice.
2. Enquiries, site visits and quotations
An enquiry, a site visit or a discussion with our team does not create a contract. A quotation is our offer to carry out the work described in it, based on the information, drawings and site conditions available to us when it was prepared.
A quotation remains open for the period stated on it. If no period is stated, we may review our prices before you accept. A binding agreement is formed only when you accept the quotation in writing or sign a Project Agreement and we receive any advance payment it calls for.
3. Scope of work and variations
The scope of each project is limited to what is written in the Project Agreement and its bill of quantities, drawings and specifications. Work or materials not listed there are not included in the price.
If you ask for a change, or a change becomes necessary, we will tell you how it affects the cost and the completion date and will proceed once you confirm in writing. Conditions that could not reasonably be seen at the time of quotation, such as concealed structural defects, old wiring or plumbing, seepage or unexpected ground conditions, will be reported to you and treated as a variation.
4. Prices and payment
- Prices are in Pakistani Rupees unless stated otherwise, and applicable taxes are charged as required by law.
- Payments are due according to the schedule or milestones set out in your Project Agreement.
- If a payment is late, we may pause the work until it is received, and the completion date will move accordingly.
- The cost of materials such as steel, cement, timber and imported fittings can change sharply. A price change between quotation and purchase is passed on only where your Project Agreement allows it or you agree in writing.
5. Your responsibilities
To let us deliver the project properly, you agree to:
- give us accurate information, measurements and drawings, and tell us about any known defects or disputes affecting the property;
- confirm that you own the property or have the authority to commission the work;
- obtain the approvals, permissions and no-objection certificates required by your housing society, development authority or landlord, unless we have agreed in writing to arrange them;
- provide safe access to the site, and water and electricity for the work, unless agreed otherwise;
- make selections and give approvals in time to keep the programme on track;
- remove or secure valuables and fragile items in occupied properties before work begins;
- follow our site safety instructions whenever you visit.
6. Materials, finishes and substitutions
Natural materials such as wood veneer, marble, granite and stone vary in grain, shade and pattern, so the delivered material will not match a sample exactly. Samples, mood boards and 3D renders show design intent and are not a guarantee of the final appearance.
If a specified product becomes unavailable or is discontinued, we will propose an alternative of comparable quality for your approval. Where you supply materials or appliances yourself, you are responsible for their quality, quantity, suitability and delivery on time.
7. Timelines and delays
Completion dates are estimates made in good faith. They will be extended where delay is caused by variations, late payments, late selections or approvals, restricted access or working hours set by a housing society, or events outside our reasonable control. Such events include severe weather, shortages of materials or labour, strikes, power or fuel disruption, government restrictions and other circumstances we could not reasonably prevent.
8. Workmanship, handover and defects
We carry out our work with reasonable skill and care and in line with the agreed drawings and specifications. Before handover we inspect the work with you and record any outstanding items on a snag list, which we then complete.
Any defects liability or warranty period is the one stated in your Project Agreement. It does not cover normal wear and tear, misuse, lack of maintenance, alterations or repairs made by others, or materials you supplied. Products such as appliances, sanitary fittings, hardware and electrical items carry the warranty given by their manufacturer.
Our approach to site safety and inspections is described in our Safety & Quality Control Policy.
9. Designs, drawings and intellectual property
All concepts, drawings, 3D renders, bills of quantities and specifications we prepare remain our intellectual property. Once the relevant fees are paid, you may use them for the project they were prepared for. They may not be passed to another contractor for execution, reused on another property or published without our written consent.
The text, photographs, graphics and logos on this website belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by law.
10. Photography of completed work
We may photograph our work during and after a project for records and quality control. We will ask for your permission before publishing images that identify your property. Details are in our Privacy Policy.
11. Cancellation and termination
Either party may end a project in the circumstances and on the notice set out in the Project Agreement. If a project is cancelled or terminated, you agree to pay for the work completed, the materials ordered or delivered, and the costs we have committed to up to that point. Payments made for custom-made items, such as bespoke joinery and furniture or specially imported fittings, cannot normally be refunded once the order has been placed.
12. Limitation of liability
This website is provided on an “as is” basis, and we do not guarantee that it will always be available or free of errors. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as loss of rent, profit, business or opportunity, arising from use of the website or from our services.
Our liability in connection with a project is governed by the Project Agreement. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the laws of Pakistan. Please also read our Disclaimer.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan. If a disagreement arises, both parties will first try to resolve it through direct discussion in good faith. If it cannot be resolved, it will be dealt with under the dispute resolution clause of the Project Agreement, and otherwise by the courts at Lahore.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The version published on this page on the date you use the website or accept a quotation is the one that applies.
15. Contact us
If you have a question about these Terms or about a quotation you have received, please contact us.
