At a glance

  • We collect only the information we need to answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation and deliver your project.
  • We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone.
  • Photographs that could identify your home or business are published only with your permission.
  • You can ask us to show, correct or delete the information we hold about you.

1. Who we are

YHY Engineering provides interior design, fit-out, renovation and construction services for homes and commercial spaces in Lahore and nearby areas. We are responsible for the personal information collected through this website and during the projects we carry out. Our office is at 149-B College Road, Gul e Daman Society, Lahore, 54770, and you can reach us on 0330 7034358.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you call, message, fill in a form or meet us, we may collect:

  • your name, phone number, WhatsApp number and email address;
  • the address or location of the property and the type of work you are planning;
  • project details such as covered area, room sizes, budget range and preferred timeline;
  • floor plans, drawings, reference images and photographs of the site that you share with us;
  • billing details, and identification details where they are needed for a contract or for an approval from a housing society, development authority or landlord.

Information created during a project. This includes site measurements, survey notes, progress photographs and videos, meeting notes, approved selections, variation requests and payment records.

Information collected automatically. Like most websites, ours records technical data such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, the page that referred you and the date and time of your visit.

Information from other people. We may receive your contact details from someone who refers you to us, or project information from an architect, consultant or supplier already working with you.

3. How we use your information

We use personal information to:

  • reply to enquiries and arrange site visits;
  • prepare concepts, drawings, bills of quantities, estimates and quotations;
  • carry out the work agreed with you and keep you informed of progress;
  • coordinate suppliers, subcontractors and consultants on your project;
  • keep safety, inspection and quality records;
  • issue invoices, receive payments and maintain our accounts;
  • provide support after handover, including attending to defects;
  • improve our website and the way we deliver our services;
  • meet legal, tax and regulatory requirements.

We will only send you marketing messages if you have asked for them or agreed to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Project photographs and portfolio use

Photographs and videos are part of how we work. We take them during a project to record progress, document concealed work such as plumbing and electrical runs before they are covered, and check quality.

We would also like to show finished work to future clients. Before we publish images that could identify your property on our website, social media or printed material, we will ask for your permission. We do not publish your name, address or other identifying details alongside project images unless you agree. If you change your mind later, tell us and we will remove the images from the channels we control within a reasonable time.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

Our website uses a small number of cookies that are needed for it to load quickly and work properly. We may also use analytics tools to understand how visitors find and use the site, for example which pages are read most often. Some pages may include content from other providers, such as maps or videos, and those providers may set their own cookies.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. The site will still work, although some features may not behave as intended.

6. When we share information

We share personal information only where it is needed, and only as much as is needed, with:

  • subcontractors, craftsmen and suppliers who need site access or delivery details to do their part of the work;
  • architects, structural engineers and other consultants involved in your project;
  • service providers who support our business, such as website hosting, email, accounting and payment services;
  • housing societies, development authorities and other bodies where an approval or no-objection certificate is required;
  • courts, regulators or law enforcement where the law requires it.

If our business is reorganised or transferred, client records may pass to the new owner, who must continue to protect them in line with this policy.

7. How long we keep information

If you make an enquiry and the project does not go ahead, we keep your details for a reasonable period in case you come back to us, and then delete or anonymise them.

If you become a client, we keep project records for the life of the project and afterwards for as long as they are needed to support warranties and defect claims, keep tax and accounting records, and deal with any dispute. Drawings and as-built records are often useful to clients years later, so we may retain them unless you ask us not to.

8. How we protect information

Access to client information is limited to the team members and partners who need it for your project. Digital files are kept in password-protected systems, and paper documents such as contracts and drawings are stored securely at our office.

No website or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. If you believe your information has been misused or exposed, please contact us straight away so that we can investigate.

9. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to:

  • tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy;
  • correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
  • delete information we no longer need;
  • stop using your photographs or testimonial in our marketing;
  • stop sending you marketing messages.

To make a request, contact us using the details below. We may need to confirm your identity first, and we will reply within a reasonable time. In some cases we must keep certain records, for example to meet tax or legal obligations, and we will explain this if it applies.
